Job Description
North Georgia College & State University is currently accepting applications for experienced candidates to join our entry-level physical therapy DPT program, which uses a modified problem-based curriculum.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to primarily lead/direct teaching in Kinesiology and in the Orthopedic Series, participate in team-teaching in other related courses and mentor graduate students in research in areas of faculty interest and expertise. The appropriate individual will be expected to integrate their expertise in teaching, scholarship and service to contribute to the mission of the Department, School and University.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or have an earned doctorate in physical therapy or equivalent degree. Those with advanced skills or specialization in Orthopedics will be preferred. The candidate must also be licenses or eligible for licensure in Georgia. The successful applicant should have a demonstrated record of effective clinical teaching and strong communication and collaborative skills consistent with the philosophy of a problem-based curriculum. Preference will be given to qualified applicants with experience in a problem-based learning curriculum and in team-teaching. Additionally, the successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in our Faculty Practice located in the OP Clinic on our campus facility.
